Most SEO software grew by addition. Every quarter another module, another tab, another panel to dismiss before you can read a number. What is the Rank Tracker plan?
It is TrueRanker’s SEO-only plan: 100 Google keywords checked daily, 100 monitored backlinks, 100 site audits a month, 3 projects and 5 scheduled reports, for $14.99 a month — or $12.49 a month billed yearly. It is sold on its own and it is not a cut-down version of the suite plans.
What if I need more than 100 keywords?
Our recommendation is to move to Starter, and to start tracking AI at the same time. Starter tracks 500 keywords instead of 100 and gives you 50 AI prompts a month instead of 3 — Google positions and AI visibility side by side, which is where search is going: the same buyer who used to arrive from a Google result increasingly arrives from an assistant’s answer, and you cannot manage what you are not measuring. That said, if more keywords is genuinely all you want, you do not have to change plan for it — keyword capacity can be added when you need it. Is this the same rank tracking the bigger plans get?
Yes. The same non-personalised Google searches, the same daily refresh, the same locations down to city level, the same desktop-and-mobile split and the same full history from the day you add a keyword. The plans differ in volume, and in the collaboration features around the data — seats, client links, white label, API — never in how a position is collected.
What can I do with only 3 AI prompts?
Sample it. Point them at the questions behind your most important keywords and you will see whether the assistants name you, name a competitor, or say nothing at all about your market — which is the one thing no amount of reading about AI search will tell you. It is the same tracking the bigger plans run, at a size you can ignore the bill for: Starter carries 50 prompts a month when you decide it is worth doing properly. Nothing else on this plan depends on them.
Can I move to Starter, Pro or Agency later?
Yes, at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately; moving down applies at your next billing date, so you keep what you have already paid for. Your keywords, projects and position history come with you either way — a plan change resets nothing.
How does yearly billing work on this plan?
You pay for ten months and get twelve, so the per-month figure drops from $14.99 to $12.49 and the limits stay exactly the same. 2 months free is 2 months free — not a percentage we rounded up.
Is there a free version?
