Trusted worldwide
Trusted by thousands of SEO pros
From solo consultants to global agencies — teams choose TrueRanker to unify SEO and AI-search visibility.
Rank data you can cite — not guess
A rank tracker records where your pages appear in Google for specific keywords — from the location and device you choose — and stores that history so you can spot trends, measure campaigns and catch problems before traffic moves.
Most tools either sample rankings weekly or read a stripped API response. TrueRanker renders the full SERP with non-personalised settings for your coordinates, so the position you see is the position a real searcher would see.
- Google-only depth: configurable TOP 20, 50 or 100
- Desktop and mobile as separate columns
- Full SERP history from the day you add a keyword
All the tracking features you will actually use
Six areas every serious rank tracker has to get right — and the details that separate a dashboard from a decision.
Precision rank tracking
Monitor keyword performance with non-personalised Google searches from any country, region, city or exact coordinates — desktop and mobile tracked separately.
- Configurable TOP 20 daily, TOP 50 every three days or TOP 100 weekly
- Global, national and local rank tracking to GPS coordinates
- Complete historical data for every keyword from day one
Deep insights beyond ranks
Eight chart tabs — AVG position, Organic visibility, Position overview, AI Overview, Competitors, Impressions, Clicks and CTR — sit above the keyword table. Search Console data cross-references clicks against the exact rank each keyword holds.
- Keyword distribution by ranking band — new and lost counts included
- Bands adapt to your depth: 11–20 and 20+ at TOP 20 daily, 11–100 and 100+ at TOP 100 weekly
- AI Overview presence split into brand mentions and linked citations on every keyword
A workflow you can shape
Stop drowning in rows. Filter by device, location, category or tag, star the keywords that matter, group related terms and set the date range you want to report on.
- Favorites, grouping and a configurable date range
- Advanced filters, tags and custom saved views
- Email alerts when a keyword moves enough to matter
Discover and manage keywords
Find new opportunities with keyword suggestions enriched with search volume, CPC and competition. The Cannibalisation Detector flags when two of your URLs compete for the same query.
- Keyword suggestions with volume, CPC and competition on import
- Bulk CSV import and Search Console pull
- Cannibalisation detection with a recommended fix
Every keyword, in depth
Click any row to open the full picture: position history with competitors overlaid, the stored Google Top 10, a 12-month search trend and the metrics that sit behind the rank.
- Monitor a competitor or analyse their content from the Top 10
- 12-month search trend, volume, CPC and competition
- Keyword tags and a target URL to catch wrong-page rankings
Report and share
Hand a client a live view of the project without giving them your login. Mark what happened on the charts so the next person reading the report knows why a line moved.
- Shareable read-only project link for clients
- Dated notes and annotations on ranking charts
- CSV export on every plan; API on Agency
Every keyword gets its own location and device
Every keyword can use its own coordinates and device. SERP features are flagged on the same row as the position.

From zero to tracking in four steps
Most projects are live before the first scheduled refresh. No onboarding call required.
Create a project
Add your domain and choose the default location and device. Every keyword you add inherits those settings until you override them.
Import your keywords
Type them in, upload a CSV or pull queries straight from Google Search Console — volume and CPC arrive with every term.
Set tracking depth
Pick TOP 20 daily, TOP 50 every three days or TOP 100 weekly per project. Need daily TOP 100? Ask us — we have plans for that.
Read the first refresh
Positions land in the table alongside SERP features, AI Overview presence, cannibalisation flags and competitor moves. The distribution chart breaks keywords into ranking bands that match your configured depth — TOP 1–3, TOP 4–10, the next band up to your limit, and everything beyond — with new and lost counts. History starts the day you add each keyword.
The boring parts, done properly
Rank tracking is the oldest thing we do and the part we are least willing to get wrong.
Configurable refresh
TOP 20 daily, TOP 50 every three days or TOP 100 weekly — set per project, not one schedule for the whole account.
Desktop and mobile
Both device types tracked separately — because they rank differently.
Local to GPS coordinates
Global, country, region, city or exact coordinates. Bulk-add hundreds of locations.
SERP feature detection
Featured snippets, AI Overviews, People Also Ask, local pack, knowledge panels, image and video carousels — flagged on every keyword.
Cannibalisation alerts
Surfaces when two of your own URLs compete for the same query.
Historical depth
Full position history from day one of the project — graphs, exports and API.
Customizable columns
Eleven columns ship by default — keyword, location, device, position, daily and period change, AI Overview, volume, snippets and URL. Turn on 7-, 30- and 90-day deltas, best and worst position, CPC, competition, GSC clicks, impressions, CTR, tags and more from Show/hide columns.
Search Console integration
Clicks, impressions and CTR beside rank data — one row per keyword, no tab switching.
Email rank alerts
Get notified when a keyword moves enough to matter — up or down.
Tags, saved views and export
Segment keywords your way, reopen filter combinations in one click, export CSV any time. API on Agency.
Keyword-level SERP view
Open any keyword to see the stored Google Top 10, monitor a competitor from the results and run a content analysis — without leaving the rank tracker.
Shareable project links
Send a client a read-only link to the project dashboard — rankings, charts and distribution — without giving them access to your account.

We track one engine deeply rather than ten engines thinly.
Google still drives the vast majority of search traffic. TrueRanker goes deep on it: configurable tracking depth, GPS-level local data, full SERP rendering and Search Console clicks beside every position — without spreading your budget across engines your audience does not use.
That depth includes AI Overviews inside Google — not as a separate product, but as part of the SERP we render. Every keyword shows whether an AI Overview is present, whether your brand is named in it and whether a link to your site appears — two signals that often diverge.
Rank tracking, answered
What is a rank tracker?
A rank tracker is SEO software that records where your pages appear in search results for specific keywords over time. Instead of searching Google manually every day, it automates the check from your chosen location and device, stores the position history and flags SERP-feature changes, competitor moves and cannibalisation before they cost you traffic.
How accurate are the ranking positions?
Positions reflect what a real user on that device in that location would see. We run non-personalised searches for the coordinates you choose and render the full SERP — not a stripped API response — so the rank you read is the rank on the page.
How often are rankings updated?
You configure it per project: TOP 20 daily, TOP 50 every three days or TOP 100 weekly. Desktop and mobile are tracked separately. Daily TOP 100 is available on special plans — contact us if you need it.
Can I track local rankings by city or postcode?
Yes — down to city, postcode or precise GPS coordinates. Every keyword can have its own location and device combination, and you can bulk-add hundreds of locations.
Does it include SERP features like AI Overviews?
Yes. We flag featured snippets, AI Overviews, People Also Ask, local pack, knowledge panels, image packs and video carousels on every tracked keyword.
What is the difference between a rank tracker and Google Search Console?
Search Console shows aggregate clicks and impressions across all queries — it is a traffic tool, not a rank tracker. It does not let you monitor specific keywords by location, compare against competitors, store SERP snapshots or track desktop and mobile separately. TrueRanker fills those gaps and shows GSC clicks beside the exact position each keyword holds.
Why does TrueRanker track Google only?
Google is where the vast majority of search traffic still originates. Rather than spread checks thin across a dozen engines, we go deep on one: configurable depth, GPS-level local tracking, full SERP rendering and feature detection on every keyword.
How long do you store historical data?
From the moment you add a keyword until you remove it. Every position check is kept — graphs, exports and API access included — so you can measure the real impact of a campaign months later.
Can I export my keyword data? Is there an API?
Yes. Export any project to CSV at any time. The Agency plan includes API access for programmatic pulls of positions, SERP features and history.
How do I add keywords to a project in bulk?
Three ways: type them in, upload a CSV or connect Google Search Console and import queries directly. Volume and CPC enrich every term on import.
How does this compare to Semrush or Ahrefs?
The same core rank-tracking use case at a fraction of the price — configurable tracking depth, GPS-level local data, Search Console beside every position and no credit caps. See the comparison table above or our dedicated vs pages for the full picture.
What do I see when I click on a keyword?
A keyword detail view with the full position history — optionally overlaid with competitors — the stored Google Top 10 for that query, a 12-month search trend chart, volume, CPC and competition, your tags and the target URL you expect to rank. From the Top 10 you can monitor a competitor or run a content analysis on their page.
How does the keyword distribution report work?
Keywords are grouped into four bands: TOP 1–3, TOP 4–10, the next band up to your configured tracking depth, and everything beyond it — plus new and lost counts for the period. The bands adapt to your depth setting: with TOP 20 daily they read 11–20 and 20+; with TOP 100 weekly they read 11–100 and 100+.
Can I share rankings with a client?
Yes. Every project can generate a share link that shows the live dashboard — positions, charts and distribution — in read-only mode. The client sees the data without logging into your account or editing anything.
How do I know if Google is ranking the wrong page?
Set a target URL on any keyword. TrueRanker compares it to the URL actually ranking in Google and flags mismatches — the same signal the Cannibalisation Detector uses when two of your own pages compete for one query.
Can I annotate the ranking charts?
Yes. Add dated notes directly on the performance charts — a migration, a content update, an algorithm refresh — so you can correlate a position move with the change that caused it months later.
Start tracking on your schedule.
Add keywords today — the first refresh lands on the cadence you chose. 14-day trial, no card.
